The Boy and his Jawbreaker

by BenGold

I fear I've lost you once again
I fear to never see you again
It was quite the journey that we had
But now you've left me feeling sad
I had hoped for one last adventure
But this glass will no longer be your shelter
We had a love that was so true
Even when you turned blue
You were not blue for very long
You changed many through the song
Until at last you where but white
Or perhaps some other color not as light
This feeling I fear is overwhelming
I cant help but to feel the pain swelling
I take in a deep breath to let out a tear
But then mother tells me not to fear
And that I should run and get my other shoe
So we can go get another two
Now that my journey with you is complete
I will gladly have a seat as long as it ensures another sweet.

Was originally titled A Child's Love. I choose to change it when a friend told me that it made more sense after I told him what it was about. The new title should clear things up. But don't take what I have said it is about to make your judgement about what it means to you. Yes I was thinking about being a kid and how cool I thought big Jawbreakers were back then as I was writing it but that does not make any other interpretation of the words wrong. All I try to do is put words together in a way that sounds good to me and tells a story.
