Once Precious

I left behind, a box so precious
Precious because it held your love
Your love which I cherish but then it perished
It perished not because, you stopped loving me or I you
You loved me like I dreamt to be loved
Loved but caused to hurt and burn in pain
In pain, I hid my tears in the box you gave
In the box you gave, I buried memories of our love
Our love is worn, old and filled with pain
Filled with pain, I abandoned our love
Memories of our love locked in our box, I tossed it into a ruined, sad, uncomplete building
It lives in ruins like our love was ruined
Our box is where it belongs, uncompleted love story, filled with pain.
So long box, you were once precious.
