Your presence unbidden,
silent as a cat creeping,
cancer,
clothed in robes of
despair, of knells,
yet, hope soars
in exultation,
and into another
star-escorted dawn.

You cannot dampen dreams,
they are always created,
nurtured,
from a child's mind-
as vast, as pristine,
as the universe,
then, they leave the bonds
of this mortality,
far from your selfish grasp.

Hi Mary! Glad you like the poem. I've been trying to open up some messages that came in over the past few days, but some of them don't open, then disappear. If they were from you and MyNAh, my apologies to you both. Thank you so much for honoring me in your lovely acrostic poem, it means a lot to me. Hope you are doing well. Hugs ♡
