She spoke with honesty

And of nothing that should inspire fear

She let her heart into the light

I only looked upon it

Within my mind in circles I ran

I lost all certainty

My ability to speak

Could this have into love evolved?
Why is it so hard to let my heart be free?

For thoughts of her make me smile

                 My only safety, her embrace

The way she cares for me
          Cascades around her
             And crashes
             In deep pools
            That pull me

           To the bottom

The light within her
Burns through the darkness and finds me, Allowing no retreat

Her touch is tender
And innocent and reaches for my soul
Reassuring its existence

With her I am truly found

So I pull against these chains
Who's iron does not forgive
But like all things, cannot last forever

Bruise and blood
And flesh and bone
Between each kiss of sun will age

Hearts and mind
Race in time
And secrets from the other keep

At this moment here I stay
She is far from me

I want her always within my reach
