Endless Tears
By KatelynGrace Halprin

1,825 days,
Five years,
Countless minutes,
And endless tears.

You died that day
With a smile on your face.
After the long, hard battle
The pain was finally going away.

Even though you’re not here
I talk to you every day.
You didn’t shed a single tear
So blessed be and come what may.

I know you see me
And I know you hear me.
I know you’re here
Even though you can’t walk freely.

I wish you were here,
I miss you like crazy.
I wish I wasn’t alone
I need someone to save me.

No one talks about you
But I know they want to.
I remember everything
We all do.

We remember the past
We remember the rain.
After all these years
We remember the storm of your pain.

We knew what would happen.
The future was clear.
The days were counting down.
The time was coming near.

You were the glue of the family
Until the very last beat of your heart.
And once you left,
The family fell apart.

You’re loved
You’re missed
You’re remembered
Your legacy still exists.

1,825 since your death.
Five years long gone.
Endless pain and endless tears.
I’ll miss you, my friend.
Mother dear, so long
