At night often I lurk
Into a screen glowing brightly
For a deep slumber that, I am unaware,
Is seeking for me also
I wonder if instead
I should rather regard what happens
The way a seeking soul might;
A mind and soul desperate for oblivion
At the moment of my departure
From such unbecoming trials
If I should rather sit and seep
Watch myself careen into a sleep,
If watching still be true,
So sure and so deep
Verily inscrutable in its creep
Until finally I retreat
Into Heaven of the mind so softly
Into that place where visions collapse
To sweet nothingness
