Aroused and rousing, poetry galore
Embraces all and leaps across the page!
My heart enraptured, soaring more and more,
Delights in laughter, grits its teeth in rage!

The imagery!  The similes!  The verbs!
The bounding, swirling panoply of thought
Expressed in verse that comforts and disturbs,
That punctures sorrow, leaves the glad distraught!

And yes, the heart with teeth that I described
Above perhaps deserves a second look.
The metaphors have flagrantly imbibed,
Engorging like a stormy, swollen brook.

So plunge ahead, the Devil take the rest?
Or start again?  That's prob'bly for the best...
