Silence invades the car breaking the tension between lovers.
As she longingly stares at him whilst he drives, he fails to stare back.
Instead he goes on gripping the steering wheel as if by doing so,
time will miraculously reverse.
Unaware that he is doing so,
he stares daggers her way before focusing back at a honking coming up ahead.
Up ahead however, they obviously fly forward breaking free from the windshield.
He lands on concrete.
She lands on shards of glass.
He calls out, but no answer returns.
While she blinks out tears unable to move her legs nor her mouth to speak.
He wills himself to get up and help her, realizing the truth, but in doing so he collapses right back down.
Now both unable to move, they reach their arms as far as they can and grasp one another's hand.
As silence invades the space between them uniting them once again with love.
