To Robin Brudnell Keeper of the Red Deer Park

To Robin Brudnell Keeper of the Red Deer Park in love with Mall Exon

Ripe now for Man Mall yeilds to Loves fair charmes
And (Cautious though) conceives more Joyes than Harmes
Thou with thine Arrow Case makst noe Delay
To bend thy Bowe and follow Her for prey
Enough then since the Blind God both posest
And wounded hath with's gould-pild-shaft each brest
Let Mall cast through Loves Flame a favring smile
On Robin, He returne the like the while
Love's wingd strike up the match 'thout more a doe
Let Him his standing find; she'l prove the Doe.
