Lonely caravan a-rollin' through the night.
Lonely caravan, you know the trail is right,
For a guiding star shines from afar,
Leads the wagon train along.

Stars of the western skies, keep guiding me
Over hill and dale and winding trail and over the great divide.
Land of the western skies, abide in me,
For on the darkest night your light shall be my guide.

Wheels a grinding as we're winding on and on
Through the night and through the coming dawn.
Stars of the western skies, keep on guiding me
Till my restless heart is satisfied.
