Upon a chip of the Royall Oak sent me by a frend

Upon a chip of the Royall Oak sent me by a frend F F: for a stopper

The Glory of a Forrest and Joves Tree
What fitter Plant to Shelter Sov'ranty?
From Briars and from Pop'lar Shrubs of late
Sought to supplement our Sedars growth in State?
Let the word Dris make All hence understand
The Hamadrydes are All at his Command
And Evry Branch that Famous Tree did sprout
Peace and eternall Happines point out
That when what's writ and sayd or can be spoak
Comprisd in This Enstall it Royal Oake.
