Wasteland — Gazing Far Away

Limpid Autumn; I gaze, no limit;
Remote, far-off, rise layers of darkness.

Distant waters bind with cold sky;
Lone city blurs in deep mist.

Sparse leaves through wind, still further drop;
Divided peaks through lack of sun, dulled.

Single crane returns home at which sinking of the sun?
Hour of yellow dusk; trees brimful of rooks.
