WEATHER REPORT

There will be a melancholic start to Saturday, with isolated pockets of euphoria in coastal areas.

A low front of vague anxiety will come in from the west, giving way to a mood of numb resignation by late afternoon. Showers of sudden rage are expected towards the end of the day.

There will be a hopeful, optimistic start to Sunday but it won't last.

A heavy blanket of regret and maudlin self pity will dominate the country by mid afternoon. Intermittent showers of suicidal despair are expected throughout the day, especially in western areas.

These will, however, die down by late evening, giving way to short spells of tentative joy that will continue into the early hours of Monday morning.
