HOUSE SPARROWS

by MaryPP

Watching from my kitchen window
little chicks cheeping  and waiting for food

Mother is patient, pecks enough seeds -
quick chew, then shares straight into their beaks

Now almost grown and feeding themselves
They’re flying towards independence.

How precious a write on our birds of the world. So sensitively written, Mary, you write well on different subjects, and your nature poems/prose are so beautiful. My warmest wishes for my gifted poetess friend. Hugs :))))
