Evening Darkness

Whereas the evening filters through
To bring the darkness seeping down.
The daylight's leave now overdue
High above a slumbering town.

To bring the darkness seeping down
As the north wind starts its blowing;
High above the slumbering town
Night time shadows start their showing.

As the north wind starts its blowing
Round and around deserted ways.
Night time shadows start their showing
There under, eerie phantoms gaze.

Round and around deserted ways
Within the blackest, darkest night
There under, eerie phantoms gaze
Misleading by subdued moonlight.

Within the blackest, darkest night
The daylight's leave now overdue;
Misleading by subdued moonlight
Whereas the evening filters through.

Dear Poeter,  The taste pours throughout the poem as my mind sinks on an aesthetic island. The fading moments of the evening silently search for the sweetness of life lost within the wonder of nature. Man divides the expectation of life into different stages. But the whole journey is immersed in something called memories. The evening time is giving new stories to man every day. Man never fails to enjoy and feel; As it is, nature is not without love for man. This poem really impressed me.  All The Best My Dear Friend; Write More Congratulations

This time I tried a modern western pantoum Mohamed. Quite a disciplined write although very rewarding to complete. The closing line must be a repeat of the opening line etc. As T.S. Eliot wrote 'To make an end is to make a beginning, the end is where we start from'. I am pleased that you liked this piece. Kind regards, Alan
