All The While

I miss you,
all the while you are here...
knowing how empty your chair will be
when you are no longer sitting there.
How vacant of musings and nattering the air will be—
when the comforting tones of your voice have dwindled away.
How the suns' glow will stop, on the other side of the window—
because there will be no reason to shine inside.

l miss you, every time l look at you...
forlorn of the time when l will turn to you and not find you there.
l search with eyes closed for the fragrant, lingering scent of you
that rests like a halo, enveloping every where you are—
disheartened, knowing when you go, it will not long remain.
I miss how deeply we loved each other... even as we still do—
even as you are still here with me…
l miss you.
