Devil of a Darling

He’s a devil of a darling,
Danger lurks behind every bend,
And yet, God knows I need him,
Even if he’s the cause of my end.

I’ve never seen anyone like him,
And I’ve seen too many men,
But his eyes say “follow me,”
And I have no choice but to listen.

There’s something about his strut,
And his rakish rogue grin,
That draw me closer to his fire,
And his hands, dripping with sin.

He knows I have withdrawals
When he leaves without even a kiss.
He’s got me wholly addicted
To the tugging bite of his lips.

He’s a devil of a darling,
Danger lurks behind every bend,
And yet, God knows I need him,
Even if he’s the cause of my end.
