THE EARTH QUAKES

As if whacked by an incubus,
She lurched for a goodly spell,
Our existence demurred by her quake.

The air bears a scary howl,
Animals prophesied the holy mess.
Roving water and trees seemed to toss,
Ceilings juddered above the alarmed eyes,
And the echoes of toppled buildings,
Ominous shriek and thud follows.
Scattered bricks,broken walls;
Roads clefted,bridges trashed;
Hundreds missing,thousands dead.
Ruins veils the place.

The sheer cries and razed life,
Scars of tears overlay the cheeks.
Dried throat and barren hope,
Stains of blood lay around.
Behind the debris lies the corpses,
Some are pulled out,some jumbled with the rubbles.
Nature silently witnesses,
Her cruel,catastrophic 'natural selection'.

Another mild quake,
She chuckles and reminds,
Yours turn follows...!!!
