Happy returning

It's great to see the lights again
of dear old Ireland,
through the sky descending fast
with a little bounce we land
Aldergrove is quiet
it's so late at night
I see the taxi waiting,
To Lisburn? Yes, that's right!
Back we've come from London
but we're not at home just yet.
One night with friends, then off again
to Newry town, don’t fret.
We've only been away three weeks
and yet it seemed like years
sometimes we were happy
but often close to tears
A surprise they'll get to see us
our parents too, no doubt.
They've been watching out for days
"Look! Mam and Dad!" they'll shout.
Now the bus is speeding fast
we are so excited.
When we see our children
we'll really be delighted!
