A flood of information in one’s palm
Surfing interesting bits of electric spark
The tide is risen, pearl divers in the calm -
Death somewhere is a grey predator shark

Camouflaged in a mundane shadow
Circling now, slightly out of sight
We click and flit casually among the minnows
Until the charging unavoidable bite

Lurking hungrily sensing the panic signs
Defiant bubbles shout to the angel of death
Some want vainly the sting-ray's numbing spine
Some to worship, before their final breath

It bodes us well indeed to measure the time
Lest we browse asleep until we die
