Me Time

A quiet space, nothing can interfere
Where hearts enlarge free from prejudice
A place for breathing deep without a fear
Hate has fled, followed by cowardice

You could find it walking down the street,
Or in a bus or train, going along
Maybe when your clothes are folded neat
A silent moment to hear a wiser song

Allow me to suggest one single thing
In the beauty of your soul’s repose
Ask a question to get a simple inkling
You can be sure God Almighty knows

“Guide me and forgive me, all that I am
I want to know the truth about Islam”
