The Raiders of my Soul

Lord, you know my fear.
You take note of my flaws.
About all my ways, you care.
And often, you deliver me from the jaws
Of my adversaries.
That I may outshine my contemporaries

Lord, see, look! Many are the raiders of my soul;
For day and night, they are awake,
Chanting and divining my name in a bowl.
So that my life might not be at stake,
Collect their voodoo
And make me a Lord o’er them too.

Lord, they’ve raided a lot from me:
They have raided me of my opportunity
And oft, they’ve raided who I wanna be,
Raided my integrity and dignity.
They have raided me of my respect
And now, my anointing, they have come to inspect.

Lord, how long will thou fold thy hands?
Rescue my soul from her RAIDERS
And restore into my hands
All that was stolen by the Raiders
I’ve got no power;
For their holds are like strong tower.
