Sleeping Giants

Giants free to spark,
The world watches as wings crest,
As the fog draws near.

Earthly roars bring forth,
Behemoths from the east grow,
Land stolen by sea.

A thunder’s sound shakes,
As ash fills into their lungs,
The disaster takes.

A whisper is heard,
No warnings or mercy pleas,
A flash takes a life.

Quiet eerie nights,
A lonesome canoe forges,
A soul falls to depths.
