Snowflakes

Shimmering snow,
Reflectively white,
Silent music grows,
In rays of dim light.

The breeze leaves chill,
A brisk embrace to hold,
Overwhelmed in the thrill,
Making my thoughts bold.

The snow flakes come down,
Their silent noise to calm,
On my temple they nest a crown,
Creating poems like a psalm.

Unique by design,
Not a single match,
Cloudlike softness combine,
Unto my soul do they latch.

How can such beauty be false?
Accredited to God they must be,
Their direction compared a waltz,
A pinnacle of beauty made free.

The peace whispers lightly,
Reverence made clear,
The scene grabs emotion tightly,
My heart this moment was made dear.

I breathe in and feel,
Time stands still,
Reality soon starts to peel,
I run to a paper and quill.

I see, here, shalom,
Snowflakes to steady my heart,
Can this moment be a glimpse home?
My soul and the snow now a part.

This incredible moment in time,
Beauty falling to earth,
To joy my emotions climb,
My perspective given new birth.
