The Spirit Is Weak
If I breathed the air to disappear
And walk about your world, intangible
Your heart for me remaining ever dear
How would I make my love still credible?
Yourself within the body restrained tight
Yet there's a blessed sleep where spirits play
I'd take you to the moonlit falls at night
To purify and forget the trials of day
By the sacred truth a person knows
Although in marriage we have a holy right
The spirit by its containment weakness shows
We ask Allah’s permission for our flight
Body or soul - we are confined in space
Freed by One who exists without a place.
