Spring Will Come Again

Chirping birds and showers in May
Prolonged days, the sun stays out to play.
Windows wide open with the wind in our hair
Suddenly things don’t seem so hard to bear.

Gleeful flowers peeking out from their buds
The neighbourhood kids heard splashing in the mud.
Lush green grass with dew in its hair
Eager families bring out the patio chairs.

And when the warm, summer high seas
Drift into Fall’s crisp autumn breeze,
Goodbye t-shirts, hello long sleeves!
Embrace the change, embrace the leaves
Because spring will come again.
