Strangers with memories

Forget, I won't, our meeting first,
Ah! The moment I came up and durst,
To utter the words that I did,
Even so, being one such kid.

Me and you, matched by fate then
After all this time, was it boon or bane?
I wonder this always, though anyway.

Long, kept the sorrow along in me
Or was it just an error wee?
Varied were my thoughts, misplaced much
Erstwhile it did, yet not as such.
Your words does heal, but smile is cure.

Of all the memories I still hold. We'll share
Until we aren't strangers, I'm sure.
