SWEET JAM – Translation

by MaryPP

I stopped myself being angry
seeing sticky jam on the door

I knew how time would fly until
our house could be shining but

my baby would be grown up
a  child no more

SUBH MILIS     from the Irish  by Séamus Ó Néill

Bhí subh milis
Ar bhaschrann an dorais
Ach mhúch mé an corraí
Ionam d’éirigh,
Mar smaoinigh mé ar an lá
A bheas an bhaschrann glan,
Agus an láimh bheag
Ar iarraidh.

Dear Poeter, As we look back on the paths we have traversed in life, the mind imagines itself as a child for a while in the past tense. We are all running as human beings behind a fast running time. All The Best My Dear Friend; Write More Congratulations
