Waves

Metal spokes pierce salty waters
As baby waves seek their source
In this caged ocean.
Sometimes stronger currents
Seep in through the near tight holes-
A reminder that freedom
Can never not flow.
The baby waves wait
For the day their strength returns
For their breaths to gather
And their resolve to tighten
So they break out,
A tidal wave from the shore.
The ocean too,
Will aid them.
