Noah Built the Ark

Noah built his ark and he built it on the ground
The Lord sent a flood and turned it around;
The door flew open and the beasts walked in
And the world were destroyed on account of sin.

Chorus
And I cannot stay away, my Lord,
And I cannot stay away.

The sky got dark and the rain did pour,
And the power of God then locked the door;
And the wicked then all saw their doom
And they wanted to enter but there was no room.

The wicked went down in a watery grave;
Eight precious souls, that's all was saved;
God took them through to the other side,
'Twas Noah and his sons and their four wives.

If you don't believe I'm singing this right
Go home and read your Bible to-night;
Read your Bible and your hymn book too,
For I've got Jesus, just the same as you.

The old Ark is movin' won't you come along?
The old Ark is movin', I thank God.”

The Lord sent Noah to build Him an ark
To build it out of gopher bark.
Noah built an ark and placed it on the ground
The Lord sent the water to turn the ark around.

How long did it rain? Can anyone tell?
Forty days and nights the water fell.
The water rose to the eave of the house
Noah raised the window and began to look out.

Early in one hundred and eight
Jesus made the crooked way straight.
Early in one hundred and nine
Jesus turned the water into wine.

Early in one hundred and ten
Jesus wrote His Bible without ink or pen;
Early in one hundred and eleven
Jesus Christ God took the key for heaven.

Early in one hundred and twelve
If you didn't repent
You would sure go to Hell!
