Hi everyone,

Lately, I’ve been struggling with knowing when a poem is done. I often find myself revisiting older pieces, tweaking a line here or changing a word there—even months after I thought it was complete.

I’m curious: how do you know when a poem is truly finished? Is it a gut feeling? Do you let someone else read it before calling it final? Or do you follow a more structured editing process?

Would love to hear your thoughts, especially if you have any habits or rules that help you draw the line between editing and over-editing.

Thanks in advance!
