Clueless Mastermind
Streams flow from my eyes
My mouth dry as the desert
A heavy boulder sits on my chest
My heart chasing the wayward wind
A pit forming in my stomach
Laden feet
My head riding the vortex
Conflicting thoughts rumble through my mind
Confusion prevails.
Like an adamant redwood tree
I stand rooted to the ground,
A sense of emptiness spreads
like morning fog obscuring visibility,
Every moment forward pregnant with new challenges
Times past hold no value
tackling new tasks overwhelms
despair pervades unrestrained—
Bound by fate
Tethered by faith
I’m being sunk into a quicksand pit
clawing my way up to Mount Calvary.
