The Empty Chair

Christmas
Day, as you
gather ‘round the
roast beast, remember
why we celebrate. With
trees finely decorated,
surrounded by gifts finely wrapped,
we come together on this Christmas
Day to share with family. To share love.
And while you celebrate, remember
The Empty Chair. The loved one you
lost, or the one that could not
be home. Raise your glass to
absent friends. Offer
them peace and love.
