Eulogy to the Pawns
To the ones that fight the unknown war
To them that want to settle the score,
To the shadows in daylight
That shine throughout the restless night,
To those who arise at dawn
Commonly known as the pawn
The king leads
You bow on both knees,
At the final moment you stand
With hope of an action planned
In the end you played a hopeless game
Following the leader with no name,
Carried by fragile arms
Carried by words with charm
Controlled by the lies
Told to follow till one dies
“They paid the expense”
-The irrelevance
Of The pawns
Play your game with pride
Know that to you they lied,
You are the majority
Not the minority,
To the ones that make the unknown difference
To them that fought with ignorance,
To the ones that are unable to reveal their identity
And feel that they should remain a mysterious entity,
From the world you have withdrawn
The used and unknown pawn
The blood flowed red
Until at last you are dead,
Now what will they think?
Or instead will they drink?
Drink the crimson of the fallen enemy
And at last they will see
It was you,
The blood of the true,
The silent screaming
Of the forever dreaming,
They had slain
Without thought of the pain,
One of their own
And yet they had not even known,
The power of the one that held on
The death of the pawn
