Forest Family

Beneath tangles of root and stalk,
I lie still
An organic beam
Column of life
Rising from the undergrowth.
A humble forest
I rise
Tree after tree
All connected beneath.
Soil covers the invisible family
A rooted community
Tangled in the vines of time,
Each blossoming flower gives power,
To each rising tree, a tower
Of life, a pillar
Of refuge
Forever growing.
Each rising giant
A lesson learned,
Each root divided
By unity governed.
