Goodbye

Everything good always comes to an end
No matter what rules you try to bend
The feeling of failure is constantly within
Trapped in a cycle while trying not to drown in gin
You look in the mirror and barely recognize your own skin
Wanting to rip it off and throw it in a trash bin
Missing the day when you didn’t want to disappear
When there was nothing to lose, nothing to fear
Trying so hard to stay strong and not shed a tear
But the voices are so overwhelming it is all you can hear
Till the day comes when the feeling is to much
It is almost impossible to keep in touch
There’s one option left and you want to ask why
Instead you realize you will be able to fly
You no longer will be living a lie
You won’t be “that” guy
The one who is shy
That no one will look in the eyes
You no longer want to cry
You look up at the sky
Give a smile and finally say goodbye
