Hitched

Hitched

It can be snug
both lines emerge
from the same side
it has less tendency
to twist under

Start with a turn
bring the working
towards the dire pull
between standing and another
complete progress
to desired direction

Bring the end out
over the standing away
the direction of pull
a moving around
the opposite direction
as the first turns

Thanks, Mary! It's supposed to be about something that RHYMES with carriage! This is an erasure of the wikipedia article for Magnus Hitch. I've deleted letters, words, and whole passages in an attempt to create a poem about marriage, infidelity, and divorce. It's still pretty rough at this point.
