Lyric to a sonnet he could never ever finish

The long days and endless nights for the race of insanity,
Incurable, maybe it takes eternity to cure the unbearable pain.
No words to calm the broken, torture test in permanent acid rain,
Meaningless scars, waves of desperation, lust the gruesome vanity.
Living through the madness, dancing with darkness and escaping gravity,
Finding his sun in her, without realizing there is no cure for insane.
A goddess he defied, like a thorn his soul burnt drawing flies to his reign,
Pleading to the heaven above and the hell below he stood a prisoner of uncertainty.

Ghosts chased, degraded his heart only to burn it with constant sorrow;
Life, a tragic joy ride it seemed  until the light in his eyes started to diminish.
Faces, never belonging to the one he longed for haunted and he could not escape;
Wishing on the stars for her to love the way he loved her, feelings he could not borrow.
Memories burnt, faded photographs frozen in frames, priceless moments survived on tape;
But the girl he loved was the lyric to a sonnet he could never ever finish.
