Quietus

The car spirals out of control as you once again try to hit the brakes that seconds ago didn’t work.
While I brace myself for the crash that never comes and I wonder why.

Until, I open my eyes and find myself alone on the side of the road with you nowhere in site,
but I find out why when you walk up to me and then it all goes dark.
