RAIN IN JUNE

by MaryPP

The sky was grey all yesterday
Blocking out the blue,
While gentle rain
Dripped down and fell
On grass and flowers grew.

All fresh today, small droplets stay
Sun shines from the blue
Dries the flowers
Sparkling pinks and reds
And grass is a carpet new.

MaryPP, This is an absolutely stunning tour-de-force on your part. I value every line in this poem but especially love the vibrant sun shines from the blue dries the flowers and sparkling pinks and reds. Yours is an incredible talent. Best wishes, MyNAh_27

Thank you so much Ryan and Regina for your comments. I wrote replies to you both already but I think they disappeared! Anyway I really appreciate that you take time to comment on my efforts. Best wishes!
