In the realm of Hades

Several questions race through
my failing consciousness
as the sun keep fading,
through the boulder slowly setting
over the only source of light.

This cave, or tunnel, or pit;
now shrinking, may not even fit
All this sorrow filled inside.
One fistful at a time, I keep
throwing it outside, atleast trying.

They walk past me, "stomp stomp"
a furtive glance then, "stomp stomp"
marching feet, I wail in rage
why don't they get me out this cage?

Muffled screams, my throat aches
hazey vision, nothing around but raze.
Promises they didn't keep,
broken dreams lay in a heap.

Cursing the noises from Asphodel
as Charon guides me to the test
Persephone cries through her veil
While I rest in eternal unrest
