For Solitude Is Not Loneliness

The curtain of rushing water sparkles
misty fresh water scents the air,
tumbles across the clean ledge
falls into the clear pool beneath

Breezes gently sigh, stirs the leaves
as they twist and turn on flexible stems,
gently sway to the rhythm of nature’s touch
to an inherent song within their veins

The green carpet of long grass
is soft to the touch, coolness radiates
as I stretch out on my back
bare feet touch the water’s edge

For solitude is not loneliness
but a time to touch which lies within,
a place to gather scattered thoughts
to explore the depths of yourself

to just be………
