Each week's Winner will receive a $100 cash prize, sent via PayPal to the user's registered e-mail address. Entry is free.

There may occasionally be one or more additional poems that receive an Honorable Mention. This will not be awarded every week, but when awarded, the poet(s) will receive a $10 cash prize, sent via PayPal to the user's registered e-mail address. All Winners and Honorable Mentions will be eligible to be included in future anthologies.

Any type of poem is welcome! Formal or informal, long or short, rhyme or free verse—we like all kinds of poems. Results will be announced within three days of the contest end and posted in the contest winners' forum.

Each week's winner will be selected by Poetry Nook's editorial staff.

When I submitted a poem *for the first time* after registering, I was told I had submitted that title before. Then it said I could proceed and submit another poem or quit. So, I submitted another poem, but it was not the one I wanted to submit. Then, at the top, I was again told I had submitted the second poem before. Very frustrating.
