90 July 6 73 Loth to Part -
July 6 73 Loth to part
When we doe get, so neer to thee
As glimpses, of thy face to see
Oh how it pains, the hart
to think that time, doth part
And as a skreen
yett stands between.
When thou to us hast so apeer'd
As our affections, ar endeer'd
And drawn up unto thee
tis hard to think, that wee
must down again
to this world, vain.
When from the mount, we do come down
Upon the world, we cant but frown
As on an enemy
And with distainfull eye
we hate soe much
as it to touch.
When we doe of thy sweetnese tast
How doth it make us long, with hast
To get upon, the wing
and up to heaven spring
To drink our fill on Zion hill.
When we on heavens, daintys feed
This doth imbitter sin endeed
And makes us long to dy
that from captivity
we may be free
att rest with thee.
When thou thy self, dost so impart
As to draw up to thee, our hart
In duty, we do find
our selfs, with love entwin'd
And where we ly
there, we could dy.
Though for a time, part here we must
yet let each sip, encrease our thurst
And make us grow more dry
that we may gredily
Gasp for, to be
filled with thee.
When we doe get, so neer to thee
As glimpses, of thy face to see
Oh how it pains, the hart
to think that time, doth part
And as a skreen
yett stands between.
