To Captaine Minous

To Captaine Minous after his returne the 9th time from the East Indes

Minor thy name alone goes lesse
Thy actions more of worth express
For though th'whole gloabe it self hath been
Travild by thy Countrymen —
Yet 18 times to pass the Line
Could be non others act but thine
Wherefore let those thrice Sisters Three
Record ye to Posteritie
Who nine tymes hast observd the Tyde
Where Ganges waves and Indus slide
That whilst thou Heaven and Seas found Kind
Letters Befreind may with faire Wind
To give encouragement whereby
Majors may Minus fortunes trye.
