Thou kindled'st up the never-dying Flame,
That still on Ilium 's shining Ruins feeds;
Thou lent'st Pelides his recorded Fame,
And threat'ning Diomede his Martial Deeds:
From thee, Laertes ' Son dervi'd his Toils;
His Foreign Contests, and Domestick Broils.
