Cordis renovatio

Cordis renovatio

Cor mihi Carnale est Saxoso durius, adsit
Gratia, sic Carnem mollificare suam
My hart of flesh is harder far than ston
Let Grace asist to mak't a fleshy one.
The Hart must needs obdurat be
When Carnall thoughts doe Petrefy
But those removd: It to refresh
God frames again a hart of flesh
Whose substance like soft wax receives
The same Impresseion He guives
Soe that who ere shall it reveal
May know the writer by the seal
Whilst on mans owld hart Natures season lies
Noe wonder though it cover novelties
In food, apparrell, pleasure of each sort
To which a world of vaneties resort
Soe lulld asleep by these how can't discern
Those properties a better change concern
Til prompted from above? then taught by Grace
Man seeks a new one in the Owld harts place.
