Dum Spiro Spero

Dum Spiro Spero

Some may Aspire to sit in State, and ther
The wayghty rod of Sovranty to bear
But therfore 'tis my Lowly Cell presents
Me with more solaces in True Contents
Heer I live quiet whilst Cares make Cares sport
In troubling those exalted are in Court
'Tis safer on this Obscure stage to Act
Nor shall my Soule by foolish Pomp be rackt
But whilst the Fates drawe out Lifes woaff to me
I'le ne're despaire but better times to see.
