Dusked Lilies

My lilies, listless, dim,
There where the shadows are;
My lilies, still and slim,
Each a blurred white star

— —

In the sun,
Softly to each I moved;
Lightly I lipped and loved
Every one.
— —

I did not know a touch
Could hurt so much;
I did not dream a breath
Meant death

— —

My lilies, listless, dim,
There where the shadows are;
My lilies, still and slim,
Each a blurred white star.
