Epitaph in Dialogue, An

Answer me; who and of whom are you?
Philaulus, son of Eucrates.
Of what country?
Thriasius.
What manner of life was yours?
I was familiar neither with the plough nor with ships but with wise men.
Did you die of old age or of sickness?
I departed to Hades of my own free will, having drunk of the cups of Ceos.
Were you old?
Very.
May the earth lie lightly upon you, who lived your life so wisely!
